How is your illustration going to raise your profile?

I am hoping to email media city uk. I will attach my design and explain the meaning behind the image, this will hopefully get a responce from the company and i am hoping they will leave some good feedback.

Also Neil left a post on the HND facebook page to apply for metro front cover. I will be sending my design off to metro and hopefully i will win (lol) But if i did this would give me good coverage and it would definitely raise my profile.

ACTION: Create the portfolio pages to ‘sell’ this assignment, bring these printed out at A4 size next week (along with the portfolio pages for Assignment 1) 

Im not quite sure what this question means? i will look on other peoples blogs and see how they have completed this question.
