Portfolio page and business card

Business Card.

The colours are not correct as i am creating a design with two different styles of print.

The logo will be printed in gloss and the background will be in matt.

The reason i have gone with this technique is i want a simple business card with a professional touch to it.

I will be getting these printed over christmas so i still have time to edit and tweak little bits that need doing.

Portfolio page with header and footer, business card and logo.

I like the simplicity of my design but how boring does it look?

how can i spice it up? what can i do to make people think wow ?

I thought i was finished with all of this but im really not and i now have to think up some designs which are going to look effective for my business

I have been struggling to get a simple design look attractive so i have asked a couple of people in uni to help. Martin has come up with the idea to use negative space with my boarder aswell? and also fading my logo in the background. I really like the idea of using my logo faded in. im not sure about the big black boarder but i will try something different and see if it works.

Looking at full package designs, i have realised it doesnt have to be b&w and with these designs here they are very simple but they do look effective. I will now go back to illustrator and think about using different colours and shaps for my design.

Final board

I have added a big logo and faded it into the background for the header and footer, also i have changed the logo from black to a dark grey because i think the coliur black was overpowering the letter.
I have also changed the back of the business card and made the colours darker to give you a better idea of how it will look when i get them printed.

Evaluation

Overall i am happy with my designs. It has been very difficult at some points but i have come up with a professional outcome.

I still think i will change some parts to this design when im ready to start using these but overall i am very happy.
